Simple copy-and-paste of Math... not even working!

I recently had a very simple request… soooo simple: our user just wishes to copy the formula from Mathematica (which can copy it in MathML) and paste it on something that does web.

I just went around and tried… SeaMonkey should support that in editor and reader: copy a piece of HTML with MathML and paste it, didn’t even work… my 1/x became a place full of nbsps in three lines!

There would be solutions for my user… power solutions… such as WebEQ based editors. I think word could do as well and I think OpenOffice and Office both have a chance as well but right now I am unable to try it!

Really a shame, when you think of it!

I would really love it if comments here could contradict me.

Mathematica 7

Paul,

As regards Mathematica, you may or may not hope, and others may or may not pray that Mathematica 7 will provide.

I doubt it.

My past experience with a single Mathematica developer indicated a sceptical attitude towards OpenMath. They seem to have been trying their own thing with WebMathematica, which seems to be on hold just now, until the new version of Mathematica is released.

As regards to to the other issues, have you got the time and motivation to be more specific and deliberate?
