musing with a new MacBook... sudden freedom!

My old Nicephore laptop has died recently. It’s always a shock.

But it came at a point when a MacBook Pro was available, so I insisted and had it. A simple 2.4 GHz, 15” laptop.

To my surprise, the power available suddenly makes it possible to do so many things I had postponed!

Paul,

I am pleased to hear about your good and well-deserved fortune. Knowing you, I hazard a guess: we will all benefit from your increased computing power.

Furthermore I assume it puts you into the Intel-Java slipstream, just the place you need to be.
