How do I create my own symbol presentations?

Hello. I am authoring some content for ActiveMath and encountered some missing symbol-presentations in my content(the name of the symbol is written in the webpages). I tried to create my own symbol-presentation by adding a (in my eyes correct) symbol-presentation definition to the file

omdoc1/cd/activemath-contepts.omdoc

which resulted in a completely broken presentation.

So could anyone please describe the correct way to create missing symbol-presentations.

with the help of the above mentioned task and after updating my contents dtd files, the creation of my own symbol presentations worked fine.
