Snow Leopard Compatibility and Performance?

Are there any known issues or welcome surprises concerning the compatibility and performance of ActiveMath under Snow Leopard Client and Server?

MUI(Mathematical User Interface) For Potential and Vital Consumers

I have been desperate for quite some time for my pupils to have a simple MUI(Mathematical User Interface) to be able to type Mathematics into Active Maths and into Web Pages, easily, consistently and semantically.

Could you please advise?

MUI at eds.activemath.org ?

Could eds.activemath.org please consider and explore a Mathematical User Interface(MUI) enabled as a service, in order to facilitate a somewhat more seamless integration of being able to input Mathematical content into Drupal, the currently chosen communication medium, or otherwise?

LaTeXintoActiveMath

Paul,

Thank you very much for enabling the issue of LaTeX Into Active Math to take place at a LibreSource instantiation you have created.

The enhanced facilities you have made available will very well come in handy in the exploration of the issue.

Well done.

Potential Testbed and Enrichment For and By ActiveMath

There seem to be quite a few people who create exciting and beautiful Mathematical documents and presentations, using LaTeX.

How can ActiveMath be utilized to transmogrify the documents into self-directed, interactive and adaptive web-based learning opportunities?

From Where You Are To ActiveMath: A Step By Step Buttom-up Grassroots Level Approach

I would like to put forward a few simple samplers, which exhibit some of the elements, notations, layouts and features I want to have at my disposal for delivering my contents. I would like to see if and how, it can it be realized in ActiveMath, or, if not why not?

Information Architecture Considerations

Ongoing Explorations of how best to use eds.activemath.org, i.e., among other things, where best to put and find stuff.

Real Time Interactive ActiveMath OnlineTutorial Pilot Started April 20th

You have opened up a new dimension for editors and authors of ActiveMath.

Learning and Teaching Environments In Statu Nascendi

I seem to remember a remark about inadequate navigational structures at eds.acivemath.org.

I agree — and I disagree.

What Do You Use to Do Maths ?

Dear Current or Prospective Student/Editor/Teacher/* of Maths or ActiveMath,

Could you please help to construct a relevant and effective online poll, and respond to it ?

Please forward your suggestions for additions, amendments and improvement, et cetera. They will be most welcome.

*TeX to OQMaths Workflow?

With TeXLive2007 being available now, could you please suggest a workflow from it to OQMaths, leaving aside the meta-tagging issues?

Outline Features?

Does Drupal provide collapse and expand outline features in the navigation items ?

rss feed for eds.activemath.org?

Any chance of providing an rss feed for eds.activemath.org?

Best Wishes for the Tutorials beginning 2007/01/30

Best wishes for you all at the ActiveMath tutorial Jan/Feb 2007.

Any chance, you could please make available the outcomes and/or lessons learnt/still to be learnt to the guinea pigs ;-) who attended last July?

jEditOQMath Screencasts?

Could we please construct, share and exchange a collection of sreencasts to facilitate learning the art and craft of contents creation for ActiveMath?

I would appreciate something like the TextMate offerings, or maybe even better?

I wonder what it could do for promoting and facilitating distance learning for all the ActiveMath sympathizers dotted across the world?

Mathematical Contents Workflow?

Could we please have an online poll to collect information on how ActiveMath sympathizers tend to create, edit, present, puplish and distribute mathematical contents? What software do they use in their workflow?

The list below may be a starting point,

  • jEditOQMath
  • TeX
  • Mathematica
  • Maple
  • Publicon
  • Adobe CS
  • Microsoft
  • Apple Works
  • Keynote
  • Studio 8
  • Design Science
  • Dynamic Geometry Software

Help for Chatting?

Sorry for being such a slow learner.

I have not yet sussed out how to use the Chat facility efficiently.

Could you please advise?

How Best to Respond to Forum Items?

How can I respond to Forum Items?

I somehow expected some kind of thread or comment feature? Could you please advise?

Kernel of Appropriate Templates?

Please allow me to revisit a previous entry and hopefully to express it more clearly.

I would welcome a kernel of templates, syntactically correct, validated, sufficiently minimal and rich, as well as appropriate to the mathematical contexts realized or envisioned for ActiveMath. I do appreciate that this may partially be work in progress, and I hope that it could be added to the toDo’s?

Permalinks?

Where are the permalinks to the blog posts?

Sampler MinOMDoc+ActiveMath Enhancements

Any chance of an appropriate kernel of minimal OMDocs with ActiveMath enhancements, syntactically correct, validated, and sufficiently rich to act as base templates for contents creation for authors of ActiveMath content ?

How to ?

I wonder if an idiot-proof "how to use all the wonderful features of your chosen contents management system feature for eds.activemath.org " could be somehow provided?

Aesthetics of Your Logo?

Any chance of having a somewhat more aesthetically pleasing logo ?

How to Use External Editors with Drupal?

Is there an appropriate interface to editors like BBEdit, Textmate, MarsEdit et al., circumventing the web-based interface ?

How Does Drupal handle X/HTML Input?

There seem to be some strange ways of how Drupal interprets structural X/HTML input?

Markdown Dingus as a Paradigm?

The Markdown Dingus as a Possible Paradigm to Facilitate Editing of Documents for ActiveMath.

Markdown is a way of writing structured content for the Web without getting stuck at the micro-level, yet being able to use it when necessary.

ActiveMath editors may recognize analogies to the OQMaths methodology.

I particularly like the concept and implementation of the dingus.

First Impressions

Congratulations to the clean look-and-feel of your CMS.
