This page documents how you can reach the LeAM-calculus collection, a content collection realized in the LeActiveMath project covering the derivation part of school and university calculus.

On this page you’ll find information about authors, about the licenses to use, about the methods to access this content, and about the planned evolution.

Parts Authoringship information

LeActiveMath content is made of LeAM_calculus and AC_UK_calculus.

The collection LeAM_calculus has been realized by the University of Augsburg and the Ludwigs Maximilian University in Munich. It has been written mainly by Christian Groß and Marianne Moormann with contributing students.

The collection AC_UK_calculus extends it to complete the needed material for University level calculus. It has been written by Manolis Mavrikis and Iain Gibson.

Licensing

LeAM_calculus is under Creative Commons License Attribution Non-Commercial No-Derivatives.

AC_UK_calculus is under Creative Commons License Attribution Sharealike.

Availability

  • Both of these collections can be used in the LeActiveMath demo page.
  • a zip archive of the LeAM_calculus content as of April 25th 2008 can be downloaded (292 Mb) and will be further updateable. Other archives to come.
  • the two collections are available under the subversion repository at http://svn.activemath.org/LeAM-calculus/. This repository is publically readable, write access granted to contributors.

Translations

Achieved translations:

  • German: this is the original LeAM_calculus language. AC_UK_calculus has been translated to German.
  • English: this is the original AC_UK_calculus language, LeAM_calculus has been has been translated to English by Christian Groß and Marianne Moorman and proofed by Iain Gibson
  • Spanish: the University of Malaga has translated both collections to Spanish by Verónica Guzmán

Translation in progress:

  • Czech: LeAM_calculus and maybe AC_UK_calculus will be translated to Czech by Charles University, Prague, contact
  • French: a translation is being realized in ActiveMath-EU by the Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris.
  • Hungarian: LeAM_calculus and maybe AC_UK_calculus will be translated to Hungarian by Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest.
  • Dutch: LeAM_calculus and maybe AC_UK_calculus will be translated to Dutch by St. Michael College, Zaandam.

  • Mandarin: a part of LeAM_calculus has been translated to Mandarin by Rui Dong
