Eds.activemath.org is an attempt using the Drupal Content-Management-System to provide a community based knowledge development in a way inspired by wikis but with much more structure and features.

An example such feature is the presentation of forums, a common paradigm to present mailing-list-like dialogues.* Other such features include the chat or the books.

*: note that actually the complete paradigm of mailing-lists is intended, and indeed you can receive forum posts by email, but for odd reasons I cannot offer mail-input yet, although the module is available at drupal and the email address is ready for it.
